You can now invest relatively small amounts in UASA’s debentures and receive an outstanding interest of 10% per annum on your investment. This is a private listing and is therefore only available to UASA members. Interest will be paid to you every three months and thus you can be assured of a steady income from your investment. At the end of the 5 year investment term, your capital is returned to you in full. Alternatively, you can choose to accumulate your interest until the end of the 5 year term and then receive the capital plus the interest back.

Per R1000 invested, you can earn interest of R250.00 every three months, or a lump sum of interest of R1645 after 5 years. This calculation does not take tax implications into consideration. The new tax laws state that earnings of than R11,000 in interest per year, is tax free.

Not only do you not expose your capital to excessive risk, but UASA will make a bonus payment at the end of the 5 year investment period to you, if you still hold a valid membership at the end of the investment term. So, as always, being a UASA member pays.

You don’t need a lump sum to invest

Even if you don’t have a lump sum to invest, UFS has ensured that all members have equal opportunity to take advantage of this offer. UFS will allow the capital to be invested over six months, through a debit order or post-dated cheques. So, you can even invest by contributing small amounts each month and the interest will begin to accumulate once the total investment amount has been contributed.
